Overlooking the majestic valleys of Gilead, Kilbride Nursing Home was originally built in 1869 to accommodate the local water engineer, hence the name Kilbride which means "running water". Today it is a modern nursing home featuring:

  • Single and multiple bed rooms.
  • Peaceful and spacious landscaped recreation area.
  • Adjacent to Kilbride Village.
  • Accredited by the Aged Care Standards & Accreditation Agency for 3 years until September 2014. Kilbride is currently compliant with all 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards as set out in the Quality of Care Principles 1997.
  • Award winning construction was completed in April 2011 to the major building works at Kilbride after more than 2 years.  We now have brand new high care rooms with capacity for over 60 residents in single and double configuration . In addition, a state of the art luxurious low care wing on the first floor for over 30 residents is also available.
  • Part of the construction includes 2 new courtyards for residents to enjoy as well as a large lounge room with central gas fireplace that is a great space for residents to meet with family members.
  • Refurbishment to parts of the original facility, in order to bring them to a more modern and contemporary standard, is due for completion in early 2012.
